Aningla

An ordained member of an obscure 13th Century Italian band of religious assassins. The order claimed to be founded by Marco Polo upon his return from the Orient. The Aningla were ruthlessly suppressed by the Jesuits after a failed assassination attempt on Ignatius Loyola in 1552.

Mentioned in "Bloode Feuds of the Heretical Church of Rome, as Practiced by the Jackals of Loyola," a sermon preached by John Donne, Dean of St. Paul's, August 21, 1662.
