sessu

Simple but effective argument form referred to in rhetoric books as "The Little Brother." Effect depends on repetition.

Ex: Older sister: "You're stupid."
Younger brother: "Sessu."
OS: "Idiot."
YB: "Sessu."
OS: "Shut up!"
YB: "Sessu."

At this point, OS either, 1) storms out of room, 2) smacks LB in head, or 3) 2, then 1.

  1. But it should be renamed "Younger sibling" because little sisters are just as likely to employ the technique.

  2. You're right, of course. I must confess that I was influenced by the fact that I am a younger brother.
